New Experiments in Simplicity

So I was looking at the work of Terry Richardson recently, a photographer whose work I quite like and dig for treading those lines between snapshot, simplicity and calculated and constructed instant hits of impression, even if the guy’s reputation as being a massive ego-case and a first class sleaze does put me off. Seemed to me simple techniques and simple gear, done well were key, with a hint of cocky about the subject were the key, so I gave it a go over the weekend for nothing but shits and giggles.

So here’s Mia.

Dead simple lighting, almost painfully so, a half-butchered Orbis arm, and the 17-40. And some serious attitude.
