– the book project –

What started out as a something small has snowballed. This project will ultimately be my first book. Portraits of 100 women, all individual in style and approach, but designed to give an incisive and intimate look into what makes women who they are. For some in depth reading as the project has gone along check out my Flickr set for the project and settle back for a while.

Great photos, you capture mood very well. One thing I might point out is a lack of diversity in the project. The subject is ‘women’ and what makes them who they are, but it seems to only include women within a certain age and racial group.ReplyCancel

Thanks for the comment Rachel. 🙂 Truth is the project so far covers ages between 18 and 42 (at the time of photography) and as for racial backgrounds, I’d actually welcome some diversity here, but as I also don’t want to add in certain races or ethnic groups to be the token ‘other’ person, I’m allowing people to approach me. So far, despite a few expressions of interest, no one from a different ethnic background has actually come through as far as having their photo taken. I’d very much welcome that changing. 🙂 Again, thanks for your comment.ReplyCancel
